We are happy to announce that Mrs. Daphne Graves was honored today as the RIROE Employee of the Month for the JH & HS. Mrs. Graves is a tremendous asset to Rockridge JH & HS. She has worked very hard to assist the transition of a new HS Principal this year and last year helped acclimate a new Athletic Director in the position she had held for three years. Daphne strives to build relationships with students as she addresses behavior issues and has implemented restorative practices in the JH & HS. She is personable and professional with staff and parents and demonstrates outstanding communication skills.
JH Special Ed Teacher Kim Dinnon added the following in her nomination email: "Daphne has been a great support in dealing with challenging student behaviors in and out of the classroom setting. She handles these situations respectfully and professionally. On a personal level, she is always willing to offer assistance and advice when students are demonstrating challenging behaviors in my classroom."

Rockridge High School celebrated 12 Days of Gratitude in November! It started with the Gray Matters club creating a thankfulness bulletin board. First period classes also participated, adding leaves to our Gratitude Tree. Students and staff shared what and who they are thankful for at school on the daily announcements. We are thankful for our supportive community. Happy Thanksgiving!

Tonight's home girls basketball game against ROWVA Williamsfield will be a varsity game only starting at 5:30 pm.
Building and Construction class delivered some of their projects they made when learning about leveling to the Art department today. Hoping these will serve as great collapsible table for future art students to work on.

2024-25 Girls' Golf Awards

Conor Flaherty, Tyler Lanz, & Mandy Parchert of the Mississippi Valley Advanced Manufacturing Sector Board visited Rockridge JH during lunch periods today. They met informally with students to discuss careers in Manufacturing and associated industries. The students asked lots of questions about job opportunities, training, education, salaries, & benefits, and learned that there is more to Manufacturing than working on an assembly line! Thank you for sharing this valuable career exploration information with our JH students!

The RHS Gray Matters is getting into the holiday spirit. They wrote personal notes in Christmas cards for distribution to local nursing home residents.
