Congratulations to Ryan Lower! Our Rockridge High School Student of the Month for April!
Throughout high school, Ryan has been a dedicated athlete in football and wrestling for all four years, while also participating in baseball, track, and FCA. He has been active in FFA, helping with various community events such as our Veteran’s Day Assembly and the pancake breakfast, and has also participated in our school’s Career Development events. In addition to his extracurriculars, Ryan has been an integral part of our Co-Op program, currently working for Hodge Construction as a Project Engineer. After graduation, he plans to join the Local 150 Heavy Equipment Operators. Outside of school and work, Ryan enjoys hunting and fishing. He consistently goes above and beyond to be kind; he is an attentive listener, respectful to all, and a constant force of stability in our school. Ryan truly encompasses what it means to be a Rockridge Rocket.
Notes from our Staff:
Ryan is a well-rounded student who excels academically, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and is consistently willing to lend a helping hand to others. He possesses the essential skills needed for success in any career path and will be a valuable asset in his future endeavors. His outstanding employability skills and genuine commitment to service truly set him apart—qualities that are increasingly rare and commendable! -Mrs. Deloian
Ryan has shown to be a true depiction of what we want our students to be here at Rockridge. On multiple occasions, I have seen Ryan going above and beyond to help others, whether his classmates or educators in the building. During the Career Fair last month, Ryan showed up at 7am and helped set up tables without being asked. He and another student were vital in the success and preparedness for our presenters. He also stopped by and asked me if I needed anything multiple times throughout the day. Ryan is not only a dedicated student in school, but also at our future school through his internship with Hodge Construction. I am more than happy to nominate Ryan for our April Student of the Month! -Mrs. Harrison
Ryan Lower has earned Student of the Month for his outstanding dedication and positive attitude. He consistently works hard, shows respect to his teachers and classmates, and goes above and beyond to help others. Ryan’s willingness to participate and his strong sense of responsibility make him a great role model. His achievements reflect both his commitment to learning and his character, making him truly deserving of this recognition. -Mr. Smith

We were away on Spring Break during Paraprofessional Appreciation Week, so we want to take this time to recognize them.
Our paraprofessionals are the heartbeat of our classrooms, whether they provide 1-on-1 support, lead small groups, or help as needed.
Thank you for your dedication to our students and for making our school stronger every day!

Students in AP Chemistry are learning how accurately their sense of taste detects pH of food. Based on values of coffee, lemon, grapefruit, and sour candy, they had to guess the pH of an unknown substance(bitter melon). After some preparation they found they were 100% accurate. As a side experiment they decided to plant some seeds in our hydroponics system to grow more.
