Boys basketball finishes the day 2-0! The defeated Wethersfield 69-43 and then finished the day with a 40-33 victory over Putnam County.
Due to the incoming weather on Friday and Saturday there have been some adjustments to the Boys Basketball tournament in Kewanee.There will be no game on Saturday and each team will play 2 games on Friday.

Rockridge High School celebrated 12 Days of Gratitude in November! It started with the Gray Matters club creating a thankfulness bulletin board. First period classes also participated, adding leaves to our Gratitude Tree. Students and staff shared what and who they are thankful for at school on the daily announcements. We are thankful for our supportive community. Happy Thanksgiving!






Tonight's home girls basketball game against ROWVA Williamsfield will be a varsity game only starting at 5:30 pm.
Building and Construction class delivered some of their projects they made when learning about leveling to the Art department today. Hoping these will serve as great collapsible table for future art students to work on.





2024-25 Girls' Golf Awards

Conor Flaherty, Tyler Lanz, & Mandy Parchert of the Mississippi Valley Advanced Manufacturing Sector Board visited Rockridge JH during lunch periods today. They met informally with students to discuss careers in Manufacturing and associated industries. The students asked lots of questions about job opportunities, training, education, salaries, & benefits, and learned that there is more to Manufacturing than working on an assembly line! Thank you for sharing this valuable career exploration information with our JH students!



The RHS Gray Matters is getting into the holiday spirit. They wrote personal notes in Christmas cards for distribution to local nursing home residents.



The Rockets Varsity boys basketball team opened their season with an 85-49 win over Stark County. Lukas McKay scored a game high 37 points and Wade Richhart added 29. McKay also set the single game record for three pointers with 11 tonight!
Good luck to our Varsity Boys Basketball team who open their season tonight at the Wally Keller Thanksgiving Tournament at Kewanee Wethersfield. The Rockets will take on Stark County tonight at 5 pm.

Tomorrow's girls Basketball Home Opener against ROWVA-Willamsfield will be a varsity game followed by an abbreviated JV game. Varsity tip off will be at 5:30 pm.

Exciting discoveries in Mrs. DuPage's Biology class! As students transitioned from amphibian to mammal dissection with the rat, they were fortunate to find several pregnant specimens. This unexpected opportunity allowed them to witness fetal and embryonic development firsthand, setting the stage perfectly for our next unit on human development, which shares key similarities










The Rockets Girls Basketball team finished tournament play with a 2-2 record today in ROWVA. The Rockets knocked off BPC 50-28. Amaya Ernat scored 22 points today and was selected to the All Tournament Team.
Fist Bump Friday with our friends from AES! These students demonstrated responsibility around the school and were chosen to join us. The Junior High and High school students were all smiles as they were greeted by these little Rockets. 👊🏻🚀.



The Memory Lane club's recent field trip to a nursing home was a valuable exercise in inclusion and intergenerational connection. By choosing to bake for and serve the elderly community, the students actively worked to bridge the social gap that often isolates this population, promoting a sense of shared community. This experience provided a crucial lesson on empathy and civic responsibility, encouraging students to look beyond themselves and contribute positively to the well-being of others.
