Congratulations to Caleb Cox, our Rockridge High School Student of the Month for February!

Caleb, senior, has served on the Student Council for two years, is an active member of the Bass Fishing Club, served one year on his church’s student leadership team, and will represent Rockridge on a science environmental trip to the Florida Keys. Outside of school, Caleb’s commitment is highlighted by his five-year journey with Scouting America, where he successfully achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He loves fishing and camping. Known for making those around him laugh, he brings a positive energy to our hallways. Caleb shares that he appreciates how much the teachers care for the students and their genuine desire to see everyone succeed. Caleb plans to attend North Star Bible School for a gap year after graduation. We are proud of all you have accomplished, Caleb!

Notes from our staff:

Caleb is one of the most polite and honest students I have ever taught. He has such high character and is a great role model to those around him. He lives by his values and does not allow anyone to sway him. He is always willing to give me a hand or to help other students in any way that he can. He has the spirit of a life-long learner and is not afraid to ask questions. He is involved in school activities and reached the highest level of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts, showing his dedication to that great local organization. I'm so proud of everything Caleb has accomplished! -Ms. Graves

While I had Caleb as a student, he was always the first to volunteer, no matter what was being asked of him. He exemplifies what it means to be a Rocket by being well-rounded, a genuinely good person who is kind to all around him, and an excellent student in the classroom. Caleb is so incredibly deserving of being student of the month, congrats to him! -Mrs. Harrison

Caleb is a responsible, mature, and polite student whom I enjoy teaching every single day. Having students such as Caleb who make conversation, update me about their achievements, and inquire about my well-being really helps to make my career at Rockridge enjoyable. -Mrs. Cope

Caleb Cox is a highly respected and valued student in the senior class. He has earned the respect of the staff and students at RHS by his caring and giving personality. I am convinced that this student has no evil within his persona. As a Boy Scout, he successfully completed his Eagle Scout Project to benefit nature. In his spare time, he volunteers with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to release different species of fish into Lake George at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve. Caleb is very devoted to his sense of morality which directly corresponds to his religious beliefs. He is a consistent figure every Friday during the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and donates blood for the National Honor Society Blood Drive whenever it comes around. -Mrs. Neece

I am lucky enough to have Caleb in my Entrepreneurship class! He starts every single day with a wonderful smile that truly sets a positive tone for the rest of the class (and my day). Beyond his sunny personality, he is a fantastic team player who consistently contributes creative ideas to our group discussions. His willingness to participate and support his peers makes such a positive impact on our class time together! Congratulations Caleb, you deserve to be celebrated! -Mrs. Kargl

I only have Caleb in study hall, but he is always super friendly and respectful when he talks to others. -Mr. Wignall

Caleb has been very helpful with trip fundraising ideas for the Florida Trip. I look forward to traveling with him and seeing him apply his love for science in Florida. -Mrs. Nerud

Caleb is by far the kindest Rocket I have encountered. Caleb is witty, passionate, knowledgeable, an environmentalist, and very creative. He will help out with any task big or small and always complete it with a smile and no complaints! Cheers to you Caleb for this honor! I know you will make this earth a better place to be on! -Mrs. Densberger

Although Caleb is not a student in my Spanish class, I have had the pleasure of having him as a student in my study hall the past two years. It has been my pleasure to get to know Caleb very well and look forward to seeing what this smart, dependable and kind young man will accomplish in college next year in Alaska and beyond. I predict he will be a star. -Mr. Stroud

Caleb is a fantastic student who is always asking questions. He is always eager to learn something new and is truly fascinated by the science of the world. Caleb always comes into class and is ready to learn and have a great day in class. He consistently is extremely welcoming to every student that he meets and is willing to help anyone who needs it. -Mr. Wade

Caleb is smart, he's courteous, and he's kind. He always helps me with my classroom door when my hands are full. Excellent choice for Student of the Month. -Mr. O’Neill
