Rockridge High School proudly recognizes Leighton Keisel as the December Student of the Month. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
Notes from our Staff:
Throughout high school, Leighton has been involved in several academic and extracurricular activities. Leighton is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as the secretary. He has earned High Honors for the past three years. Leighton also participated in track and field for all 4 years of high school and has been a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for four years. He also played football his sophomore year. After graduation, Leighton plans to attend Southern Illinois University (SUIC) where he will pursue a degree in aerospace engineering. He then plans to continue his education further by earning a master’s degree in physics.
Leighton Keisel is a great student, but he is an ever better human being. Leighton is a constant figure in the National Honor Society Rocket Closet providing meal bags to students within the district every week. He is a hard worker who is dedicated to perfection in all of his classes. He is so reliable and mature beyond his age. Mrs. Neece
Leighton goes above and beyond as an officer of NHS, and he demonstrates his leadership skills in every activity we do. He is reliable and a conscientious student. Leighton is extremely hard working and dedicated to everything he does. He is an asset to our school community and a strong student. Leighton is an ideal candidate for student of the month. Mrs. Clarke
Leighton is a super focused math student who excels in Calculus. It has been a pleasure teaching him the last 3 years and his future is bright. Congrats on student of the month! You deserve it Leighton. Mrs. DeKeyrel
Leighton is incredibly deserving of being student of the month! While I had Leighton as a student last year, he showed incredible determination and a strong work ethic. Leighton was always the first student to do extra help or practice for the ACT last year and his incredible drive is shown through his fantastic score. Along with being strong academically, Leighton is a great role model for his peers. Congrats to Leighton for being the December Student of the Month!!
Mrs. Harrison (Ms. Hatchel)
Leighton is a hardworking and sharp student in Advanced Chemistry. He can figure out concepts sometimes even before I teach them, and has a mind for math/science. A great choice for student of the month! Mrs. Nerud
