The RHS Gray Matters is getting into the holiday spirit. They wrote personal notes in Christmas cards for distribution to local nursing home residents.
The Rockets Varsity boys basketball team opened their season with an 85-49 win over Stark County. Lukas McKay scored a game high 37 points and Wade Richhart added 29. McKay also set the single game record for three pointers with 11 tonight!
Good luck to our Varsity Boys Basketball team who open their season tonight at the Wally Keller Thanksgiving Tournament at Kewanee Wethersfield. The Rockets will take on Stark County tonight at 5 pm.
Tomorrow's girls Basketball Home Opener against ROWVA-Willamsfield will be a varsity game followed by an abbreviated JV game. Varsity tip off will be at 5:30 pm.

This unexpected opportunity allowed them to witness fetal and embryonic development firsthand, setting the stage perfectly for our next unit on human development, which shares key similarities
The Rockets Girls Basketball team finished tournament play with a 2-2 record today in ROWVA. The Rockets knocked off BPC 50-28. Amaya Ernat scored 22 points today and was selected to the All Tournament Team.
Fist Bump Friday with our friends from AES! These students demonstrated responsibility around the school and were chosen to join us. The Junior High and High school students were all smiles as they were greeted by these little Rockets. 👊🏻🚀.
The Memory Lane club's recent field trip to a nursing home was a valuable exercise in inclusion and intergenerational connection. By choosing to bake for and serve the elderly community, the students actively worked to bridge the social gap that often isolates this population, promoting a sense of shared community. This experience provided a crucial lesson on empathy and civic responsibility, encouraging students to look beyond themselves and contribute positively to the well-being of others.

Big Congrats to Coach Kyle Chandler who picked up his first career win as the Rockets Varsity Girls Basketball Coach! The Rockets knocked off Galva 47-20 and were led by Leah DeCooks 20 points.
The high schoolers celebrated World Kindness Day by submitting their Random Acts of Kindness all week. An adult kindness committee chose their favorites. The posted students are a special "kind" of kind! It was heartwarming to hear the kind acts our students did this week—and continue to do every day! #rocketsrock
Rockridge Jr High and High School will be dismissing students at 10:15 am due to a water supply disruption. All buses will go from the JH/HS to their respective elementary schools and will hold there until elementary students are dismissed at 11:30 am. Drivers and/or car riders from the JH/HS are permitted to leave at 10:15 am. Bus riders will arrive at home at their normal 11:30 dismissal time.
