Congratulations to Cheerleading Coach Joey Stanforth, who is being inducted today to the IHSCCO Hall of Fame. Coach Stanforth has set the standard for excellence in Competitive Cheerleading not only at Rockridge, but across the state. Congrats on a well-deserved honor!!

Congratulations to the Rockridge WYSE Team (Worldwide Youth in Science & Engineering) for their performances this season. The team placed 2nd at the Regional Competition and advanced to Sectionals They then placed 3rd at the Sectional Competition and had 2 individuals advance to the State Competition. Claire Stanforth placed 1st in Chemistry and Ali Ehrhardt placed 2nd in English at Sectionals making them State Qualifiers!
All were very proud of their performance and looked forward to receiving their scores as they were released! They had fun and it was a good experience for them.

The Rockets softball teams blasted 3 HRs in their 11-1 victory over Galesburg. Taylor Dietrich had 2 HRs and Stella Riley added the the other. Rockets improve to 5-1 and will play at Ridgewood on Friday.
Tonight's softball game at home against Galesburg has been pushed back to a 5:30 start time. This will be a varsity game only.
Tonight's F/S baseball game at Geneseo has been postponed.
Mrs. DuPage's Biology students explored the vital function of the P53 gene, which controls the timing of cell growth and division. They then applied their knowledge by designing marketing campaigns to educate others about P53's role in preventing cancer, as mutations in this gene are often linked to the disease.

The Rockets baseball team defeated Erie-Prophetstown tonight 4-2. Tanner Dyes 2 run home run broke the tie that led the Rockets to victory.
Rockridge softball improves to 4-1 on the season with a 5-0 win over Erie-Prophetstown. The Rockets will be at home tomorrow against Galesburg.
