Illinois City is pleased to announce Bailey Woeckener as our 2nd Grade Student of the Month for March 2025. Bailey is the daughter of Steve and Melissa Woeckener.
Bailey loves to play with her friends, brother and dog Tank! She does dance and tumbling. She was quoted saying, “I just like making new friends because if I ever get bored I can just go play with new friends.”
Her teachers had the following comments about her:
Mrs. Hall (Bailey’s 1st Grade Teacher) I was Bailey's first grade teacher! She is a very caring and genuinely kind student, who would help anyone. Bailey's smile lights up the room and is contagious! She is a great role model for her peers!
Mrs. Zampogna - Bailey is the sweetest, kindest student. She always has a smile on her face. She is a friend to everyone and always willing to help. She brightens everyone's day!
Mr. Hasson - Bailey is a great young lady. She always has a smile on her face. She helps others in PE and is so nice. Keep up the good work!!
Ms. Winn - Bailey is a wonderful student to have in music every day. Not only does her character make her a great role model for other students, but she is excited and passionate about learning. She is friendly to all, and always brings a positive attitude and a smile into the music classroom.
Mrs. Sours - Bailey is an all around great student to have in class. She consistently shows kindness, responsibility, and a positive attitude at school. She works hard on her assignments, helps others when they need support, and always follows the rules with a smile. Bailey is a great role model for others in our classroom and school.
When she grows up she would like to be a babysitter or a vet because she loves kids and pets! Bailey has been the schools Rockin' Rocket as well as being a High Achiever in MAP assessment performance scores in both math and reading.
Keep up the great work Bailey!
