Dear Rockridge JH & HS Parents/Guardians,
The purpose of this message is to inform you that we conducted a Hold Drill this morning at Rockridge JH & HS. The drill was planned with Administration & Deputy Rasso, but was not communicated with students or staff in advance so everyone could practice their response to our procedures. During the Hold Drill the building complex was locked down and units from several area law enforcement agencies conducted a canine search of the premises. All students and staff remained in classrooms conducting normal activities while the dogs searched hallway lockers, locker rooms, and the parking lot. The drill was completed promptly and the daily schedule resumed with minimal disruption to the school day.
We appreciate the opportunity to inform parents of the safety measures in place in the Rockridge School District. As always, if you have questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
Sincerely,
Katy Hasson, Principal
Rockridge High School
