Due to weather conditions today (3/25), Rockridge Junior High will not be traveling to the Solo and Ensemble Contest at Monmouth-Roseville.
The Rockridge Academic Achievement Awards will once again honor the top students in each class this spring at our Awards Night on May 10th. We will also recognize the top seniors in each of the departmental areas. I am extremely proud of the outstanding students here at Rockridge High School. These students have made a tremendous effort to achieve these top honors. Recognition of this academic achievement helps reinforce the message that educational excellence is valued by our community.
We rely solely on the generous donors from the Rockridge Community to help us make this worthy event possible. The Rockridge Community donated over $21,000.00 last year to fund the 2022 awards. Now, more than ever, we need the support of our community to ensure the 2023 awards are fully funded. As the community looks forward to the Spring approaching and the Summer ahead, the Rockridge area baseball/softball registrations have opened up. We encourage all families with children interested in playing softball or baseball to sign up. Deadline is March 12th. Late registrations will be placed on a waiting list and may not be placed on a team. If they are placed on team, a late registration fee will be assessed. If this is your first year with the program, thank you for joining the fun, and you can use the website to register (www.rockridgeball.com). One thing to consider as you sign up your players, we will need coaches for all the teams. This takes the community and volunteers to help make this a fun and successful summer. While registering, there is a place to indicate you’d like to Coach or help coach a team. As a coach, you can chose available practice times and help guide the youth to being great people, as well as good ball players. Age Divisions: Girls: T Ball – 6U(4-6 years old), J Ball – 9U (7-9 years old), Minors – 11U, Juniors – 14U and Seniors – 18U. Graduating 19 year old seniors may also play. Girls may play up. Boys: T Ball (4-6 years old), D Ball (7-8 years old), C Ball (9-10 years old), B Ball (11-13 years old), A Ball (14-15 years old), and Seniors (18U). Boys may play up as well. Here are a few reminders to help students & fans be prepared and enjoy the State Tournament this weekend:
--> For students riding the Fan Bus, it loads at 11:30 am Thursday. Please be on time.
--> Students: don't forget your tickets and your wristband. Both are required to get into the Student Orange Krush Section.
--> Remember that the arena concessions are cashless. Be sure to have a credit or debit card with you for any purchases.
--> The arena has a clear bag policy. You will not be able to carry items into the arena.

We will hold a Send-Off Assembly Wed Mar 8 for the Boys' Basketball Team as they head to the IHSA State Tournament. The send-off will begin at 11:30 am in the South Gym. It will be streamed on the NFHS Network.
School will not be in session on Thursday, March 9, 2023. We hope you will be able to cheer on the Rockets either in-person, via radio, or on television.
