After months of reading exploration and choice, the 6th grade students are beginning to develop preferences regarding authors, genres, and topics. So far this year, the students have read over 200 books! Every time they achieve an increment of fifty, the students brainstorm celebration ideas and vote to determine their reward. Recently, after surpassing 200 books, the students voted to enjoy a candy salad! There's nothing sweeter than celebrating the love of literacy at Rockridge Junior High!
