Pre-School Screening - August 3rd
Rockridge CUSD #300 is sponsoring a FREE Community Pre-School Screening on Thursday, August 3rd from 9:00 am to noon at Taylor Ridge Elementary School.  Please call the RIROE at 309-736-1111 to make an appointment (ask for the Early Childhood Department).  This FREE screening is for all Rockridge children ages 3, 4, & 5 who are not enrolled in Kindergarten.  Preschool screening is used to help parents learn more about their child's development.  The screening provides FREE vision, hearing, language, motor, & cognitive skill assessments.  Children should be screened once per year until starting Kindergarten.  This screening also helps us identify students eligible for our preschool services.  Please call Taylor Ridge Elementary School with questions at 309-793-8070.

NOTICE: ROCKRIDGE CUSD #300 STUDENT RECORDS   All Rockridge CUSD #300 special education students that graduated the year of 2012 may pick up their temporary records from the Rockridge Guidance Office until September 1, 2017. After that date, they will be destroyed. The records may contain information required for Department of Rehabilitation Services Eligibility, SSI, etc.

2017-18 Student Registration Reminder & Update
Parents, please remember to go online and complete your student's 2017-18 registration. The Lumen Registration Link contains all the necessary online forms to complete and submit electronically. The Additional Registration Forms Link contains applicable forms for different grade levels and buildings as appropriate. Those forms can be downloaded, printed, and completed in hard copy form then brought to your child's school on Fee Day.

NEW UPDATED INFORMATION: If parents are having difficulty navigating the registration site, or do not have access to the internet, the Rockridge HS Computer Lab will be available from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm the week of July 10th. It will also be open from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 11th & Wednesday, July 12th.

Fee Day is Wednesday, July 19th. Office staff will be available from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm in the Rockridge High School Cafeteria to collect paperwork and all registration fees for the 2017-18 school year. Please make sure online registration is completed BEFORE Fee Day!  All K-5 students will receive their classroom teacher assignment and JH/HS students will receive their schedule & locker information at Fee Day on July 19th.

Class of 2018 - Information on Sign-ups for the Fall 2017 PSAT Test at RHS:
Each year, Rockridge High School has offered the PSAT/NMSQT Test to the juniors in the fall as an optional college preparatory test. Juniors who score in the top national percentiles on this test may be eligible for multiple scholarships and honors. It is a very rigorous test designed for four-year college-bound students. Taking the PSAT/NMSQT is also provides good practice for the upcoming SAT Test, and provides juniors with post high school planning materials. There is a $16.00 charge to take this optional test. Fee waivers are available for students who meet the free lunch criteria for the district. Click here for more information.

Co-Ed Grass Volleyball Tourney
Rockridge Volleyball is sponsoring a Co-Ed 6's Grass Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, July 1st at the Reynolds Baseball Diamonds, 501 N. Main Street, Reynolds, IL. Play begins at 9:00 am. Registration is $20 per person. A full concession stand will be available and there will be a silent auction for several baskets. Rocket Fuel Wrestling Club Fundraiser Catfish Fishing Tournament
The Rocket Fuel Wrestling Club is hosting a Catfish Fishing Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, July 8th from 6-11 am. Entry fee is $100 per boat. All boats must check-in with the tournament officials before departing from the Andalusia Harbor Ramp. Weigh-ins will take place at 12:30 pm at the Andalusia Harbor Pavilion followed by awards & prizes. Lunch, raffle tickets, and baskets available for purchase. RHS Baseball Golf Outing
The Rockridge Baseball Team is hosting its annual Golf Outing Fundraiser at Hawthorn Ridge Golf Course (Aledo) on Saturday, August 5th with a shotgun start at 8:00 am. Entry fee is $60 per person. Rep. Mike Halpin Honors Music Department
Thank you to IL State Representative Mike Halpin (D 72nd Dist) for stopping by RHS this morning to formal recognize the Music Department for their Third Straight IHSA Class B Sweepstakes State Championship!! A small church is providing sizable benefits through its urban gardens in Rock Island.  Spearheaded by one of its elders, Broadway Presbyterian Church, with about 100 members, has been addressing food insecurity, challenges faced by refugees and immigrants and more, by working the soil.  Click here to read more...

Valerie Kline is an English Teacher at RHS and is our Varsity Volleyball Coach. Her one year-old daughter, Evelyn, has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer, and is undergoing treatment in Peoria.  A friend of Val's has designed and is producing a t-shirt to support #TeamEvelyn. District Vision Town Meetings

The Rockridge CUSD #300 Board of Education invites ALL members of the Rockridge Community to participate in a series of town meetings this spring. The Board is conducting a Visioning and Goal-Setting process and needs public input. The purpose of the Vision work is for students, parents, staff and community members to dream for our future graduates. What skills and knowledge do they need to be prepared after they leave our schools? The Board will then take the feedback from the meetings and determine our Vision and Board Goals. Meetings are scheduled throughout March & April in various sites across the district. All meetings are from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.  Click here to learn more.
