Rockridge Student Council Food Drive
The RHS Student Council is currently collecting canned goods and donations throughout the district to help fight hunger. The elementary schools' classroom competition ends Nov. 25th. One class at each elementary school with the most weight per student will win a pizza party!
JH and HS students can earn chances to win gift cards, T-shirts, school supplies, and more by donating canned goods before school. Each canned good or dollar is worth one raffle ticket. Tuesdays and Thursdays are double ticket days! Winners are drawn at the end of each week!
HS Penny Wars runs from now til November 15th. Classes are competing to see who can earn the most points by collecting change. Pennies and dollar bills add points. Silver coins take away points. One canned good equals 100 points. The winning class earns a fun, relaxing movie day!
The HS "Soup"-er Teacher competition starts Nov. 18th and ends Nov. 22nd. Students can bring in cans of soup to their favorite teacher. The teacher with the most soup per student will win a Visa gift card!

Items can be dropped off at Rockridge Junior High or arrangements can be made for pick-up. Please contact Mrs. Kelly Vroman (kvroman@rr300.org or 309-793-8040) with questions or pick-up requests.

Rockridge Foundation THANKSgiving Event
The Rockridge Schools Foundation Fund is planning a fundraising event to support the educational programs and needs of our Rockridge School District. It will be at the high school on Thursday, November 14 from 6 to 8 pm. As part of this THANKSgiving celebration, we will be honoring two of our most beloved Rockridge Alumni: Glen Cook and AugE Kerres- two men who have given so much of their time and talent to make our schools so great.

Also at the event, there will be a showcase by our teachers of things needed to further enhance the education of our students. You will have the opportunity to help provide funding for these needs.

Tickets are $20 adults, $10 students or $50 for a family and include dinner, dessert and beverage. All proceeds from the event will go to support the educational enrichment of our schools.

Look for more details and on the attached flyer. You can RSVP for tickets on the Rockridge Schools Foundation Facebook page and on their website: www.rockridgeschoolsfoundation.org

We appreciate your support of this inaugural event and hope everyone will come out on November 14 to pay tribute to AugE and Glen and help make our schools the best they can be!
