District Vision Town Meetings
The Rockridge CUSD #300 Board of Education invites ALL members of the Rockridge Community to participate in a series of town meetings this spring. The Board is conducting a Visioning and Goal-Setting process and needs public input. The purpose of the Vision work is for students, parents, staff and community members to dream for our future graduates. What skills and knowledge do they need to be prepared after they leave our schools? The Board will then take the feedback from the meetings and determine our Vision and Board Goals. Meetings are scheduled throughout March & April in various sites across the district. All meetings are from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.  Click here to learn more.

Kindergarten Round-Up - April 28
Help us spread the word!  We are looking for kindergarten students for the Fall of 2017. To be eligible students must be five years of age by September 1, 2017. If you have a child or know of a child contact Taylor Ridge (309) 793-8070 or Illinois City (309) 793-8090 to get on our communication list.  Kindergarten Round-Ups will be held at Taylor Ridge & Illinois City Elementary Schools on Friday, April 28, 2017. The Illinois City Round-Up is at 10:00 am and the Taylor Ridge Round-Up is at 2:00 pm.  Please click here for more specific information. 

6th Grade Wax Museum - March 14
The 6th graders will be hosting their Wax Museum on Tuesday, March 14th from 6-7:00 p.m. at the Jr. High. A few of the famous people that you will meet are Babe Ruth, Queen Elizabeth, Pocahontas, George Washington and Elvis. Attendees' coin donations will allow you to hear the speeches of these famous people from history, so remember to bring your spare change!

The Book Fair will be open during the Wax Museum in the JH Library and there will be plenty of food for purchase. Don't miss out on this fun night!!

FFA Chapter Banquet - March 23
The Rockridge Community is cordially invited to the 2017 Annual Rockridge FFA Banquet, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 6:00 pm. We will start with a meal in the RHS Cafeteria and have our Banquet and Live Auction in the Auditorium after dinner. This is the one night that we celebrate our year and have a chance to thank the community for their support. We hope to see you there and thank you for all you do for the Rockridge FFA.

2017 RHS Academic Achievement Awards
The Rockridge Academic Achievement Awards will once again honor the top students in each class at a banquet on May 10, 2017. We will also recognize the top seniors in each of the departmental areas. These students have made a tremendous effort to achieve these top honors. Recognition of this academic achievement helps reinforce the message that educational excellence is valued by our community.  The 2017 scholarship donation drive is underway.  Please click here to learn more....

FFA District SAE Interviews
Congratulations to the Rockridge FFA Members who Competed in the District 1 Proficiency interviews last night at Geneseo High School.  Nathan Flickinger was First in Fiber and/ Oil Crops and will compete at the State Contest on March 25th.  Tyler Jahn placed 2nd in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management.  Nathan Parchert placed 2nd in Swine Product Placement.  Great Job!!!!

Co-Ed Volleyball Tourney - March 18
The Rockridge Rockets High School Volleyball Team’s 
3rd Annual Coed 6’s Volleyball Tournament will be held Saturday, March 18 with a 9 am start time & a St. Patrick’s Day Theme!  Entry fee is $20/person for Recreational or Competitive Level teams.  All proceeds to benefit Rockridge H.S. Volleyball Program

Rockridge Post Prom Euchre Tournament & Walking Taco Dinner
Location: Reynolds American Legion.  Date: Saturday, March 25th  Time: Doors will open at 5:00pm for walking taco dinner which includes: a walking taco, dessert, and a water/pop.  Euchre tournament will start at 6:00pm with registration beginning at 5:30pm.  Cost: $40 per team - Bring your own partner. Congratulations to the Rockridge FFA Livestock Judging Team that placed first in Swine, 4th in Sheep & Goats, 9th in Beef and 2nd Overall out of 41 Teams at the Black Hawk Invitational on Saturday.  Cole Whisman was the high individual overall out of 171 contestants and was 5th in swine & 7th in Beef.  Jake Bohnsack placed13th overall and Brianna Gorham placed 5th in sheep & goats.  Other Team members were:  Mia Freyermuth, Hunter Johnson, Brittany Olson, Eliza Lilliman, Megan Hoag, Cole Sours, Cody Bush, & Carter Gauley.

TRAC Art Festival Presenters Needed:
Rockridge High School is hosting the annual Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) Art Festival later this spring – on April 26th! The festival will consist of student artwork display for judging, art workshops, public viewing of the displays, and an awards ceremony. Rockridge FFA Achievements
Congratulations to the following Rockridge FFA members on their success at the Section 4 Sate Degree and Proficiency Interviews held at Mercer County High School on Saturday. Earning their Illinois State FFA Degrees Are: Cole Whisman, Brittany Olson, Brianna Gorham, & Tyler Jahn.
Tyler Jahn won First Place in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management. Nathan Parchert earned First Place in Swine Production - Placement. Nathan Flickingert took First Place in Fiber and/or Oil Crops, Second Place in Grain Production, & Second Place in Diversified Crop Production. Cole Whisman earned Second Place in Star Placement. Brittany Olson won Second Place in Ag. Sale Placement. Brianna Gorham got Second Place in Beef Production Placement. Jacob Bohnsack took Second Place in Food Service.
Congratulations to ALL of these FFA Chapter Members for their hard work and accomplishments!
