Pre-School Screenings: Rockridge School District Preschool Screening is for children ages 3, 4, and 5 (and not enrolled in Kindergarten). Preschool screening is used to help you learn more about your child’s development. The screening provides language, motor, and cognitive skill assessments. Children should be screened once a year until starting Kindergarten. This screening also helps us identify students eligible for our preschool services. Screenings will be held Wednesday, April 21st & Tuesday, May 4th from 2:30 to 5:30 pm at Taylor Ridge Elementary School. Screenings are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call 309-736-1111 to make an appointment. Kindergarten Registration Information: Attention: Kindergarten 2021-2022! If you have a child that resides in the Rockridge School District that will turn 5 on or before September 1, 2021, please call either Illinois City Elementary (309-793-8090) or Taylor Ridge Elementary (309-793-8070) to be added to our registration list. Updated Calendar: Please take note of the attached calendar, which was approved by the Board on February 8th. Click here to access the updated calendar. Dual Credit Parent Meeting: Staff from Black Hawk College conducted a virtual parent meeting to discuss 2021-22 Dual Credit opportunities and procedures. If your current sophomore or junior is interested in taking a dual credit course next year please click here to view a recording of the meeting. The information provided will answer a lot of questions about courses offered, student eligibility, scheduling, calendars, costs, academic expectations, and much more! Please contact Mrs. Bohnsack with additional questions after viewing the video. FAFSA Parent Meeting: Did you miss the virtual FAFSA Parent Meeting on September 29th? Would you like to learn more about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? Please click here for a copy of the presentation that was shared during the meeting. Transportation Updates: * Please be at your designated pick up location before the bus arrives. * Please allow a 10-minute window (5 minutes before/after) for the bus to arrive. We are still adjusting with the time and minor changes, so please be patient with your driver. * Please make sure masks are out of book bags and on when the bus pulls up. * Please make sure self-certification forms are in hand and ready to show the drivers when they arrive. *Food and drink are prohibited on every school bus. *Students are only allowed to ride their assigned bus. At this time we are not allowing students to ride home with other friends/family on a different school bus. We look forward to providing continuous and safe transportation to our precious cargo. Annual Notice: Destruction of Records All Rockridge CUSD #300 special education students that graduated the year of 2015 may pick up their temporary records from the Rockridge Guidance Office until September 1, 2020. After that date, they will be destroyed. The records may contain information required for Department of Rehabilitation Services Eligibility, SSI, etc. All Rockridge CUSD #300 regular education students that graduated the year of 2015 may also pick up their temporary student records from the Rockridge Guidance Office until September 1, 2020. After that date, they will be destroyed as well. Player Parent Meeting The Athletic Department Player-Parent meeting will now be an online video this year that must be watched by both athletes and parents. Individual sports player-parent meetings will still occur with the individual head coaches; however, the wholistic player-parent meeting video will just need to be watched at the onset of the first sport in which a student plays.
